NIKKI WARD

Nikki's artworks are hand-built with scalpel, glue and tweezers, housed in traditionally-made taxidermy boxes, glazed with exhibition anti-reflective glass and framed with authentic passe partout tape. Her works are made  from found and bought vintage objects and books. They are a reaction and a response to the found materials - an excercise in both transformation and preservation - each piece is wholly unique.

'Once-loved and valued treasures now gather dust and are destined to further decline; books that are damaged or foxed and no longer used for their original purpose, outgrown toys and forgotten treasures. I am imparting in these decaying artefacts a new narrative and a renewed value.'

Trained in Art and Design in Norwich followed by a Visual and Performing Arts Degree (BA Hons) at the University of Brighton.

Works owned by many private collectors.
