Gabriela’s whimsical and surreal collages are filled with humour, colour and random evocative connections between images. Whether a framed collage or fabulous Art Doll her unique, vibrant works bring joy and delight. The Art Dolls have articulated arms and their very own personal stories and come ready to hang on the wall. Each work, whether Art Doll or more traditonally framed, is unique - a combination of collage and painting.

‘I love delving into old photograph albums, vintage documents, magazines, books, cards, knitting pattern books and scraps of writing. Second-hand bookshops, junk shops, market stalls, attics and long-forgotten boxes are my treasure trove. I’m an inveterate collector of things that other people discard, and through my work I try to bring them back to life.’

Gabriela grew up in Buenos Aires, but London has been her home since she came to study English at 17. Gabriela is a skilled printmaker, ceramicist, collage and decoupage artist who has turned her hand to jewellery, upcycling furniture and wallpaper design and shares these skills regularly teaching at workshops.

Trained in 3-D Design at Camberwell College of Arts followed by an MA in studio printmaking at the University of Brighton
